Mały tygrys z Ameryki Środkowej
Davus pentaloris (dawniej Cyclosternum pentaloris) to niewielki, kontrastowo ubarwiony ptasznik z Gwatemali i południowego Meksyku. Ciemne ciało z czerwonymi i kremowymi akcentami dało mu nazwę ptasznika tygrysiego.
Dorasta do około 10 cm w rozstawie odnóży. Chętnie buduje sieć wokół kryjówki.

- Podłoże: 5–8 cm, kryjówka, miseczka z wodą
Charakter: nerwowy i szybki, ale nie agresywny — pierwszą reakcją jest ucieczka do kryjówki. Posiada włoski parzące. Odpowiedni dla początkujących, którzy nie planują częstego kontaktu.
